Philosophy: Reaching a friend where he is and bridging him to Christ.
Aim: Every friend drawn a step closer to Christ.
Key vehicle: Men’s events where key biblical perspectives and real-life testimonies are shared to help men achieve successful and significant lives.
Key verse: This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.  John 17:3.

 

The rat race, life’s financial pressures, family demands . . . . . . Can a man really hold it successfully altogether ? Come journey with men grappling with real life issues and discover what it means to “Win at Work and at Home." This 4-hour Saturday Conference on 5^th July (2-6 pm) will be held at CEFC 10 Jelapang Road.  It seeks to meet men’s real needs in the context of what they want.

 

Please invite men around you who are pre-believers and/or would benefit from meaningful relationships with other men.  Speakers are Rev Edmund Chan and Geoff Gorsuch (Speaker Profiles below). 

 

Each participant requires a S$5 ticket.  Counters will be open at CEFC in May 2008 and the next Authentic Manhood Session 4 on 3 May 2008 for purchases.

Interested conference participants can follow through with monthly sessions of “Authentic Manhood – Winning at Work & Home) Course in Aug – Nov 2008 and Feb – May 2009.

 

 

 

 

SPEAKER PROFILES :

Rev. Edmund Chan, aged 50, is Senior Pastor of Covenant Evangelical Free Church, a key disciplemaking Churches in the city.  Rev Chan has an acknowledged gift of sharing the Bible insightfully and practically. A seasoned mentor of men and leaders, Rev Chan is  also an author of 2 well-received books and a much sought after speaker in large conferences.  Rev Chan is happily married for over 26 years to Ann with two lovely daughters, Amanda and Belicia.

 

Geoff Gorsuch, a former Vietnam War combat pilot, is a man of deep and broad experience.  His credentials include being a trained counselor, and consultant in leadership development.  Over the last 35 years, he  has worked in France, US, Russia and now Asia. He  was also a key advisor in a well-known men’s movement which has changed lives of over a million men in the US.  He is an author and speaker on the issues men face.  Geoff and his wife, Diane, now live in Singapore. They have 2 married daughters who reside in the US.
